FAQ

✨ Can sleep training be harmful?

On the contrary - I consider sleep training an empowering tool which helps babies grow, develop & thrive! What is harmful to babies is chronic sleep deprivation which leads to not just mood swings and irritability, but cognitive & physical delays while affecting their emotional health. I understand parents ask that because of CIO method which I am against - I am against leaving babies alone without checking on them. 

✨ What's the ideal age to sleep train?

For many reasons, mainly developmental, it is best to wait with formal sleep training until a baby is 3-4 months. 
Of course, healthy sleep hygiene starts as early as when baby arrives & for that, I recommend my 1:1 Newborn Sleep Consultation

✨ I don't feel comfortable with the idea of cry it out.

Me neither! I am against CIO, i.e. leaving baby alone without checking on them. The methods I teach allow parents to tend to and comfort their babies in a reasonable amount of time which, in my opinion, only strengthens the bond and trust between a baby and their parents. 

✨ Is my baby going to feel abandoned during the sleep training process?

I will say that sleep training, when done thoughtfully, with love, care & empathy is not about leaving your baby alone or ignoring their needs. Instead, it's about helping your baby learn to self-soothe and develop healthy sleep habits.

Being responsive in the process, those moments of love will only deepen the trust & strengthen the bond between you and your baby. 

✨ Is the personalized sleep plan going to work fast?

How fast the plan is going to work will depend on a few factors: your baby's age & temperament but also your consistency being the most important ones. Every baby is different and they adapt to changes differently.

✨ Can my baby have a sleep regression during the training?

Regressions, sleep or developmental, happen at various times so yes, they can. I will make sure you have the tools you need to troubleshoot them properly.

✨ What can I do if my baby won't sleep train?

If you are trying to sleep train on your own and your baby is not progressing after 3-4 nights, I suggest we have a chat about your baby's sleep struggles and how I can help you change that. Click here for more. 

✨ How can I get support from online 1:1 sleep plan?

✨ What is the payment and refund policy?

Due to the amount of time, effort and commitment provided within a consultation, refunds are not possible once consultation agreement and questionnaire are submitted.

✨ What if it doesn't work?

I want you to know that I am going to stick with you until we see your goals happen. Until then, I am not leaving your side. I just happen to know it takes about two weeks of commitment and consistency.

If for some reason, we get to the end of two weeks and we are still not quite there, I will continue to work with you until we reach those goals by offering additional support.
